Elizabeth Schell

Liz’s research interest lies in designing systems with non-traditional electronic devices and materials. During her BS at MIT, she worked on flexible electronics, and during her MS at Stanford, she worked on stretchable electronics. Now she works on biodegradable electronics for agricultural monitoring with a specific focus on active electrochemical sensing. Some past and current projects include a phosphate sensor, a custom potentiostat IC, and an antenna for communicating with the buried sensing unit. A crafter at heart, she especially loves borrowing techniques from her hobbies, such as fiber arts, to come up with simple, low-cost solutions to technical problems.
