Dengyang Lu

Dengyang Lu received his B.Eng. in Materials Engineering from McGill University in 2022, where his undergraduate research covered additive manufacturing of shape-memory polymer composites, high-strength, lightweight cermets, and conventional metallurgy. He then entered the M.S.E. program in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and helped develop implantable microsensors. As a Graduate Student Fellow, he also expanded his work to metasurface-based structural-color generation. In 2024 Dengyang joined the MSMA group as a Ph.D. student, focusing on fabrication and optimization of metal–polymer laminated structures to minimize magnetic-core losses.
